Human wellbeing and flourishing is a multidimensional entirety that is, on the one hand, founded upon values, choices, and lifestyle of an individual, and on the other hand, upon social reality. Thus, a true and sustainable view of wellbeing must ground itself in just and human dignity-based ways of treating and encountering each other. From this perspective, individual wellbeing is inseparable from and inevitably social and communal wellbeing. The promotion of holistic wellbeing demands a holistic approach; the approach needed has to examine and take into account the perspectives of the responsibilities of education of both the homes and the schools, healthy lifestyles, and sustainable values and life befitting to human dignity. Ultimately, wellbeing requires respecting the human dignity of every human being; human dignity is a necessary foundation for wellbeing. Consequently, wellbeing is a shared endeavor and cannot be upheld - let alone promoted - without a collective effort.
